How The Beauty Industry has Gone Potty for CBD.

Cannabis appears to be getting a makeover as a wellness product here in the UK, following the legalisation of CBD oil. Prime CBD, a Midlands based business specialising in CBD products, have seen a noticeable increase in the demand for their skincare and beauty products containing the cannabis derivative.

Attitudes to cannabis have changed over the past year, and it is high time that they did. With supplements containing CBD now able to be purchased in the UK, and an increased interest from the Great British public, it seems only natural that skincare and beauty products were bound to be next-in-line to take up the cannabis extract as an important ingredient to market to the UK.

As one of the most talked about narcotics here in the UK, the thought of cannabis-derived beauty products may come as a shock to some. However, the US are well ahead of us, and many American beauty and wellness brands are making claims that their ‘infusions’ can revolutionise the way skin problems are treated. Here in the UK, it’s still illegal to make any claims of wonder and awe, but the proof is in the purchasing, as they say, and Prime CBD have seen a huge up-turn in the way people are experimenting with CBD products.

Jack Dodd, at Prime CBD said, “We’re thrilled that our skincare products have been such a hit with our customers. The beauty industry has definitely seen a boom when it comes to cannabis infused products, and it’s great to see the market changing every day. As people become more aware of CBD products, the stigmas associated with cannabis are changing too. We’re excited to see where 2019 will take us”.

CBD, which is short for cannabidiol, is one of over 80 compounds called ‘cannabinoids’, which can be extracted from the cannabis sativa plant we all know and recognise. The most ‘well known’ extracts are CBD, which does not create a ‘high’, and THC, which does. CBD is the only extract that can legally be sold in the UK.

Prime CBD’s skincare products include CBD balm, face & body wash, facial serum, moisturising cream, and moisturising lotion – all of which contain the legal CBD extract, along with a lot of other great ingredients to provide the perfect blend. The brand is fast becoming one of the leading suppliers of CBD products, including their skincare range, with many businesses stocking their goods. The team behind the brand are excited to see what 2019 will bring, and hope that their products will continue to soar as they move into the New Year.
